Intensive soil cultivation has caused severe reductions in organic matter and biological activity in our soils. About 50% of the soils humus is lost after the first three years of cultivation. Since the soil itself is necessary for feeding and growing the food we consume, maintaining this resource can truly be a matter of life and death.
Currently 3 billion acres of agricultural soils globally are at risk of loss due to poor soil management. Plants around the world depend on good soil for survival and infinite numbers of micro organisms that live in it as well. These microscopic creatures are vital in maintaining healthy plants, soils,and ecosystems. When they are not present, plants are likely to be unhealthy are have difficulty growing due to insect and disease pressure.
This is where Growth Spurt enters the picture. We are adding back the missing life to our soils. When we talk about soil life, we are talking about aerobic (air breathing) organisms. The conditions that they need in the soil is air, water and a source of food. With Growth Spurt, we are adding the microorganisms and providing a food source. In time, they will loosen the soil to provide spaces for air to enter so that they can maintain life. With only a single application each year, we are able to begin to restore the natural balance to our soils. By adding this balance, we have less problems with diseases and insects.
How do insects and diseases find our plants in the first place? These are natures garbage collectors. Nature sends them out to get rid of the foods that are not fit for humans to eat. The insects are not an indication of lack of pesticides in the plants system. They do ,however, indicate that the plant is lacking from nutrients and minerals.
You may also be wondering about weeds and how they fit into the balance of soils. Weeds do have a purpose in natures plans. They are natures way of bringing mineral balance back to our soils. It may take nature hundreds of years to achieve the proper balance. If you wait long enough, nature will restore the balance that we have created.

Use Instructions:
Mix two tablespoons of Growth Spurt in one gallon of non-chlorinated water.
For shrubs garden and lawns apply three gallons of mixture evenly over 1,000 square feet.
For potted plants use one cup of mixture for each six inches of pot diameter.
